Dylan & Laura Morss
Dylan moved to Missoula in 2008 with his wife Laura as she attended the University of Montana. Dylan Joined volunteer staff, then moved into associate staff until feeling the call to attend a Chi Alpha internship in 2017. Dylan became the director of UM Chi Alpha in July of 2019.

Dylan’s passions include movies, playing music, writing, board games, and playing any kind of competitive alternative sport such as spike ball or ultimate frisbee. He spends most of his free time exploring his relationship with Jesus and spending time with his family.

Bret & Missy Haidle
Bret grew up in Ontario, Oregon. His life was powerfully impacted in 2008 while studying at Idaho State University and being involved in Chi Alpha student leadership. Jesus transformed his identity and shaped him into a joyful man of God. He met his wife, Missy, through Chi Alpha and were married in July 2010. Bret and Missy married in July 2010. God led them to move to Missoula in August 2015. Bret joined as an Associate Staff at University of Montana in January 2016.

Bret’s passions include exploring the mountains, playing and moving to the music, being a big brother to students, adventuring with friends, and board riding of any persuasion.

Sarah & Zach Floyd
Zach has lived all over the US as a child and teenager. He joined UM XA in 2015, where he gave his life to the Lord. He was a student leader in XA for three years before feeling the Lord’s call to pursue full-time ministry.

Sarah grew up in the small town of Eureka, MT. She also came to the UM in the Fall of 2015 and joined XA. There, she found her eyes opened to the love and power of God in new ways. She also met Zach, who would later marry her in May 2018. She joined Zach in 2019 to serve on staff with XA for a year, and is now pursuing her Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology. Zach and Sarah love going on hikes, watching Netflix, reading, and hosting students in their home.

Alec Managhan
Alec grew up in the nearby town of Alberton. In 2015, he started college at the UM, and he graduated with a B.A. in Business Management in 2019. After graduation, Alec followed God’s calling on his life to join XA staff at UM, eager to continue seeing students be transformed by Jesus on campus.

Alec loves to write and tell stories, discuss film and TV (especially Lost), go deep and seek Jesus with students, and take bold adventures wherever God might be leading. Some of his favorite places on the planet are found in Yellowstone National Park, where he has spent summers living and working.

Bob & Mary Walzer
Bob wanted to experience something new and close to home, so he moved from Spokane to Missoula in 2016 to attend the UM. Mary is form Broadus, MT. She never fit in there, but when she came to Missoula for Music school in 2017, she fit right in.

They both found XA early in their freshman years and were student leaders. In 2019, Mary started working for XA and Bob started his senior year of a Biochemistry degree. That summer Bob and Mary were engaged, and 6 hectic months later, they were married in December 2019. Together they enjoy traveling, stargazing, listening to audiobooks, and taking care of their cat.

Emily Johnson
Emily grew up in the small town of Broadus, Montana. She moved to Missoula to attend the UM in 2016. Emily found XA and a group of friends who were all about bringing Jesus into every part of their lives. She graduated in May 2020 with a B.A. in Social Studies Education and a desire to teach. God called her to give a year as staff with XAfollowing graduation, and to see other students grow and change in incredible ways through Jesus.

Emily loves to organize events and be around others in any capacity - watching movies, playing games, thrift-shopping, exploring new places, or spontaneous photoshoots. She loves cooking, trying (and learning) new things, music, storytelling, all things history, and both coffee and tea.

Robby Morawic
Robby was raised in Stevensville, MT. He was raised an atheist, but came to Jesus as a young adult. He began attending XA Life Groups in fall of 2019. His experience with XA led him into a deeper, more personal relationship with God.

Robby has decided to pursue a lifetime of ministry. He is serving as a Missionary Associate with XA, and is also pursuing a degree in Christian Ministries, then to Seminary to become a pastor. Robby’s passions include history, singing, philosophy and debate, and technology. He splits his free time between reading the Bible and video games.

Karina Carlson
Karina moved to Montana in 2011. After learning to love Montana, Karina decided to go to the UM. As a Freshman, Karina found XA. Her relationship with God was transformed at Go Deep Fall Retreat in 2016. Karina became involved in XA and became a Student Leader. She remained a Student Leader for a total of 3 years, and graduated May 2020 with a B.A. in Psychology and a minor in Japanese. She continues to live in Missoula and is a Missionary in the Marketplace while starting a new job in the psychology field. She will also pastor a LifeGroup on the University of Montana campus.

Karina enjoys jamming out to musicals, watching movies with friends, crocheting, geeking out about pretty much any fandom you can think of.

Our Chi Alpha Staff Team is made up of men & women who feel led by God to serve university students and introduce them to Jesus. Every XA staff person is a missionary, who raises all of their income and operating budget through individuals, friends, family, and churches in order to be able to reach students for Christ.
